We offer our therapeutic horseback riding and horse-assisted learning programs to many types of groups, including those from schools, adult day programs, treatment services, senior in assisted living or specialized programs, and veterans.

Groups can come for a single visit or choose a more intensive experience that takes place over 4 or 6 weeks.

We work with a number of local elementary, middle and high schools. For elementary or middle schools that choose a 4 or 6-week experience, we split the students’ time at the farm between therapeutic riding and horse-assisted learning activities. We can accommodate 6-8 children for this type of programming.

We offer our horse-assisted learning program for groups of older students and adults. This non-riding program is flexible and inclusive and can accommodate up to 10 participants.

For all groups, younger and older, our horse-assisted learning curriculum can go beyond horsemanship, incorporating functional/farm fitness, growing/tending produce and working with our pigs, goats and chickens.

With educator or staff input, we can customize the content to address pre-vocational training needs, social skills development, and/or to help schools fulfill State of New Jersey Community-Based Instruction (CBI) requirements.

    SCHEDULING

    Groups are booked between 10am and 12pm, September-December and March-June, Monday through Thursday.

    Fees

    We are proud that our fees have remained the same for over 10 years. While still an investment, our fees cover only a portion of the actual cost of providing these unique recreational activities. We work with foundations, corporations and individual donors to bridge the gap between fees and actual costs to run our programs.

    Summer

    During our summer mornings, we partner with service organizations and hospitals to provide children of veterans, at-risk youth and children with life-limiting or life-threatening diseases with a week of riding and learning basic horsemanship skills and enjoying farm fitness activities, gardening and nature-based arts and crafts.
